David Riondino died this morning at the age of 73 in his Roman home . The Tuscan actor and musician, born in Florence on June 10, 1952, had been battling a serious illness for several years.
The announcement was made on Facebook by our friend Chiara Rapaccini, an artist, illustrator, and designer.
The funeral will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Rome, in the Church of the Artists in Piazza del Popolo.
Riondino's latest, unfinished initiative is the Scuola dei Giullari, a multi-purpose training center dedicated to songwriting, blending the tradition of oral poetry with contemporary excellence.
Throughout his career, Riondino has worked in radio, television and cinema, collaborating with artists such as Dario Vergassola, Paolo Rossi, Sabina Guzzanti and Stefano Bollani.
