Enrico Berlinguer's tomb desecrated for the third time in two months.

The children of the historic secretary of the Communist Party, who died 40 years ago, made this known in a message posted on social media and signed by Bianca, Maria, Marco and Laura Berlinguer.

«For the third time in the space of just two months our father's tomb, in the Prima Porta cemetery in Rome, was desecrated, six days after the anniversary of his death – we read in the post -. The cowardly action of some scoundrels reveals that it is not the act of a deranged person, but rather a gesture with a clearly political content. We hope that the necessary measures will be taken to avoid further outrages."

« It is clear that this is not an individual gesture, but a political act. Is it possible that no one made sure that this massacre was not repeated?", echoes Nicola Fratoianni of the Alleanza Verdi Sinistra. «Now, so that it doesn't happen again and those responsible are identified and punished - he continues - we expect the authorities to take immediate action. For this reason I will present a parliamentary question to the Minister of the Interior." «The memory and political testament of Enrico Berlinguer - concludes Fratoianni - can never be scratched, because they live in the hearts of the Italian people».
