Jerked, dragged by her hair, slammed to the ground and finally hit with a violent punch in the face.
The reason? He had invited the relatives of a patient treated in the yellow and red code room to leave and move to the waiting room to allow the doctors to work.
The victim of yet another attack is a nurse on duty in the emergency room of the San Leonardo hospital in Castellammare di Stabia (Naples). The episode occurred last night at around 8.30pm, the attack caused the fracture of the upper right medial incisor, the infringement of the nasal bones, a wound on the upper lip sutured with a stitch, a noticeable swelling on the right side of the face , post-traumatic low back pain and a severe state of psychomotor agitation. The prognosis is 25 days barring complications.
The images from the cameras are being examined by investigators, who are working to trace the perpetrators of the brutal attack.
«We are tired of the violence - says the general director of the ASL Napoli 3 Sud, Giuseppe Russo - we ask for the immediate activation of the police squad within the garrison. At this point the militarization of hospitals is the only way forward. Every day healthcare workers reach their workplace to be treated and certainly not to risk their lives. Naturally, in the judicial process that will follow this act of violence, as a company we will constitute a civil party."
