Elderly man found dead at home, stab wounds on his body: "It's murder"

Tragedy in Saronno, in the province of Varese.

An elderly man was found dead in his home, late in the morning. The call to 112 was made immediately, the medical personnel on site, who confirmed the death, the forensic team and the carabinieri of the city company. According to the investigators, it was a homicide: on the body of the elderly man were found wounds from a knife.

The old man, Romolo Baldo, lived with his son and daughter-in-law while his daughter, who often visited her father, lived nearby.

The investigations are focusing on the family but at the moment there are no arrests.

The Carabinieri are interviewing the neighbors of the elderly man, who lived in a terraced house on the outskirts of the city.
