"Whoever did Johnson & Johnson must take the second dose because it turned out that it is not a single dose vaccine but the second dose must be taken. Whoever did it in June is now in fact discovered. In fact, I believe communications will come out soon." .

These are the words of Andrea Crisanti, professor of microbiology at the University of Padua, guest on Rai Radio1 in “Un Giorno da Pecora”.

On the increase in infections, Crisanti underlined that "it happens because we are moving away from the six months in which most Italians have been vaccinated. After six months the protection against infection and transmission drops to 45%".

However, the protection for any complications remains, which according to the epidemiologist is always very high, "at about 75%".
