The Rome court sentenced entrepreneur Stefano Ricucci to six years in prison, accused of corruption in judicial acts. The judges of the second collegiate section inflicted the same sentence on the other two defendants: former State Councilor Nicola Russo and entrepreneur Liberato Lo Conte.
This is the legal case that revolves around alleged benefits, including dinners and other things, received by Russo, assisted in court by the lawyer Giorgio Martellino, in exchange for a favorable appeal ruling for the company Magiste Real Estate Property, attributable to Ricucci, in the case that the company had lost in the first instance against the Revenue Agency.
The facts date back to 2014 and in particular to the tax dispute between the parent company of the Ricucci group and the Revenue Agency, centered on a VAT credit of 8.8 million that the company claimed against the tax authorities.
