Even the former mayor of Amatrice and current regional councilor of the Lega, Sergio Pirozzi , was acquitted by the judge of the Rieti court, Carlo Sabatini, as part of the trial for the collapse of one of the buildings in Piazza Augusto Sagnotti following the earthquake of Amatrice and Accumoli of 24 August 2016.
