Catania, kills his brother during a dispute: "I defended myself"

Four gunshots to kill his brother, of whom he was afraid after having received a few days ago death threats also addressed to his family.

The crime took place in San Gregorio di Catania. The victim is Davide Vitale, 44 years old. The fire was fired by his brother Rosario, six years older, who turned himself in to the carabinieri and was arrested for murder.

From what has been said, he did not want to kill David but to defend himself. He explained that he had come armed with a knife. The body was not found at the scene of the shooting but in the courtyard because Rosario would have moved it to try to revive it.

Relations between the two brothers in recent years were rather tense.

When Davide went to Rosario's house, a dispute arose, then the latter took a clandestine pistol, a 9x21 caliber Beretta, with no serial number and held illegally. Which, he said, he would have gotten because he was afraid of his brother who showed great anger towards them, despite the fact that he also helped to support him financially.
