An explosion caused the collapse of a two-story house on via Pio Foa, at the intersection with via Vitellia, in the Monteverde neighborhood of Rome. The accident, probably caused by a gas leak, involved a man who was pulled alive from the rubble by firefighters but is in serious condition.
The man was transported by 118 in red code to Sant'Eugenio. According to what we learn, he suffered trauma to his legs and burns on 70% of his body. He is a fifty-year-old of Scottish origins.
The search by firefighters and carabinieri continues to exclude that there are other people among the rubble. Several patrols of the local police are also on site to delimit the area and close the roads.
