Anesthesia for eye surgery, but she never wakes up: 50-year-old woman dies

A 50-year-old woman died yesterday after undergoing eye surgery at a private clinic in Arezzo. The patient reportedly did not wake up from the anesthesia.

According to what has emerged, the eye surgery was routine, with a theoretically quick recovery , but the fifty-year-old showed no signs of recovery afterwards: the arrival of 118 alerted by the clinic staff was unfortunately of no use.

The woman lived in Abbadia San Salvatore with her partner and a teenage son. She worked in a supermarket in Piancastagnaio and was very well known .
