"I am ready to die to let the world know what the 41 bis really is". Alfredo Cospito writes it in a letter which in these hours, after the censorship, was made known by his lawyer, Flavio Rossi Albertini, announcing the appeal to the European Court of Human Rights.

The letter was written in prison by his client, before being transferred from the institute of Bancali, in Sassari, to that of Opera.

"The greatest insult for an anarchist - writes the 55-year-old against whom harsh prison has been ordered for four years - is to be accused of giving or receiving orders. When I was under high surveillance I still had censorship and I didn't I never sent pizzini but articles for anarchist magazines, I was allowed to read what I wanted, to evolve. Seven hundred and fifty people suffer it without a word". In the writing, the FAI ideologue says he is "convinced" that his "death will put an obstacle to this regime and that the 750 who have been suffering from the 41 bis for decades can live a life worth living, whatever they have done". conclude: "I love life, I am a happy man, I would not want to exchange my life for that of another. It is precisely because I love it that I cannot accept this hopeless non-life".

The prisoner's health conditions remain "stationary". Since the beginning of the hunger strike on October 20, he has lost 50 kilos . «His physique is extremely tried – added the defender in front of journalists in the Senate and in the presence of Professor Luigi Manconi and some parliamentarians including Ilaria Cucchi -, but he is tenacious, he is determined to go ahead and in fact has decided to suspend potassium supplements and sugar. Morale is proud and is convinced that he can win this battle which is for life: he has no aspirations of suicide".

«We will appeal to the ECHR, we believe that there are different profiles to bring to Strasbourg. We are analyzing the possibility of requesting an emergency measure," explained the lawyer. The application could be filed next week. "We are studying the rulings of the Court on this issue, we will make our assessments but the path is traced given that after the no of the Cassation the roads in Italy are finished", concluded Rossi Albertini.
