A 55-year-old woman was stabbed in the face this morning on Via Grassini, in the northern suburbs of Milan. She was taken to Niguarda Hospital in critical condition, with stab wounds to her legs and arms. Her prognosis is guarded.

The investigation has been entrusted to local police officers who are tracking the attacker. They are specifically looking for her ex-husband.

The woman was found on the street, near the entrance to a house, and local police officers are reconstructing whether the attack occurred there or elsewhere by interviewing witnesses and acquiring footage from surveillance cameras in the area.
