A crane belt breaks: worker dies crushed by pipes
The tragedy in a deposit of mineral oils. The victim was 48 years old
Fatal accident at work in the province of Genoa.
It happened in San Quirico, where a worker lost his life while working in a mineral oil depot.
According to an initial reconstruction of the incident, the 48-year-old man was crushed by large pipes that broke off from a moving crane due to a broken belt.
On the spot, after the alarm, the 118 health workers intervened but unfortunately there was nothing to do for the worker.
The prosecutor of the Genoa Public Prosecutor Stefano Puppo ordered the seizure of the area and opened an investigation.
The firefighters are also in action to carry out checks in the construction site that was the scene of the tragedy.
