A car hits five pedestrians, killing a 17-year-old and seriously injuring four others.
The accident occurred on a state road in the Varese area. There was nothing that could be done for the teenager.

A 17-year-old girl died following the dramatic accident that occurred shortly before 4 pm along the Verbano state road 394 , in the territory of Maccagno con Pino and Veddasca, in the province of Varese.
According to initial information, a car traveling in the direction of Maccagno hit a group of five pedestrians, killing the teenager instantly and seriously injuring four other people aged between 15 and 30.
The driver was also injured but his life is not in danger. The Soreu dei Laghi operations center activated a massive rescue operation, dispatching multiple helicopters from bases in Como, Sondrio, and Milan, as well as several ambulances, including vehicles from the Red Cross, Padana Emergenza Luino, and SOS Cunardo, and a medical car from the Varese ASST. Carabinieri from the Luino company responded to the scene to determine the incident.
