A serious traffic accident occurred this afternoon in Milan, where a 12-year-old boy was hit by a van on Via Bernardino Verro. His parents were also at the scene.

In critical condition, he was transported to the Papa Giovanni XXIII Hospital in Bergamo with a red code. When emergency responders arrived with a helicopter, an ambulance, and a medical car, the boy was unconscious. Local police officers also arrived on the scene to determine the circumstances of the accident.

According to an initial reconstruction, it appears he was crossing the road outside the pedestrian crossing.
