A child died at the Terme di Cretone, between Palombara Sabina and Passo Corese in the province of Rome. The little one, according to the first information from the firefighters, would have been sucked into the drain from the baths.

The boy was 8 years old and, according to what was reconstructed, he would have fallen into one of the thermal pools while the cleaning and emptying activity was in progress. Some of the people who were present in the facility saw the child fall into the tub and tried to pull him out but risked being sucked in too.

The thermal baths are open to the public from 9.30 to 18.30 and from 21 to 24 only on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, and the accident would have occurred right at the time of closing.

The carabinieri of the Monterotondo company are investigating the episode. Several rescue teams also arrived on the spot, the divers of the fire brigade managed to recover the little body.

The parents of the victim, in shock, are still unable to explain the dynamics of the accident.
