4.4 magnitude earthquake in Catanzaro, schools closed
From the first checks there should be no damage, investigations in progress

Schools today in Catanzaro remain closed after the earthquake that occurred off the coast of the city in the night just before one, of magnitude 4.4 . The mayor Nicola Fiorita explained that the firefighters, local police, civil protection and the municipal administration were immediately alerted .
As a precaution, schools of all levels are closed for today in order to assess any critical issues in the facilities. From a first estimate it seems that no damages have been recorded but the checks are continuing.
