The Elective Assembly of the Football Federation will be held on 4 November, for the start of the new four-year cycle: this is what emerges from FIGC circles, after yesterday the federal president Gabriele Gravina said he intended to convene the assembly by the end of the year.

The Federation is therefore preparing to renew its leadership, after the debacle of Luciano Spalletti's national team at Euro 2024.

Following the defeat against Switzerland, many, including political leaders, bluntly urged Gravina to leave office as soon as possible.

For his part, the federal president explained: «I don't run away from responsibilities. Criticism hurts, instrumental criticism linked to a request for resignation.
