The flight times between Alghero and Milan Linate are changing , for now only the return flight from Lombardy which has been postponed by 40 minutes, and not the outward flight from Sardinia, currently scheduled for 8.55, a time considered inconvenient for those who have to travel for work or to attend a medical visit.

The Region announced it, claiming "some initial results of the negotiation with the airline Ita Airways on the modification of the departure and arrival times of the Alghero-Milan Linate connection". A need - explains the Region - that had been immediately put on the table to protect those passengers who need to travel during the day to the Lombard capital.

The new schedule for the evening flight departing from Linate is official: previously scheduled for 18:35, it will be moved to 19:15 with a gain of 40 minutes. The booking site will soon be updated with the new schedules.

The change of schedule for the morning flight from Alghero to Linate is currently being defined . "The scenario envisaged is that of an advance on the outbound flight and a postponement of the return flight to Sardinia - comments Councilor Barbara Manca -. Overall, almost an hour and a half of permanence could be gained, precious time for all those who need to reach Milan for work, health or study reasons. This solution, although an improvement on the original one proposed by the carrier and unfortunately permitted by the DM of 2021, I admit that it does not fully satisfy me. For this reason, I will continue the discussions with Ita Airways. Other options are being examined and their feasibility is being assessed. This aspect will certainly be one of the many to which we will pay the utmost attention in the next call for tenders, so as to avoid having to intervene with stopgap solutions, such as the one that is being envisaged".

To date, Ita has not given any openings on a reversal of flights with the first daily departure from Alghero instead of Linate. The company has expressed its intention to maintain the base of flights in Milan for its economic and internal organization evaluations.

Then there is the issue of guaranteed time slots. At the moment, in the event of a strike, protected flights are those between 7 and 10 and between 18 and 21. A change in the departure time of the flight from Alghero to Linate, assumed between 8.15 and 8.20 with a saving of about 40 minutes for Sardinian passengers, would bring the first flight in the opposite direction to 6.20. Without guaranteed protection, the flight would thus find itself in a time slot not protected from possible union unrest, with the risk of compromising the right to mobility for the entire day.
