Inauguration of the Io Leggo Festival in Quartu with the book by Michele Sestu “Apprendere col Kaizen”, an essay dedicated to the educational system in the school environment enriched by the preface by Bruno Fabiano of the Kaizen Institute Italia.
The work of Sestu, pianist, composer, teacher, producer and expert in music education, will be presented on Thursday 5 December at 7 pm at the former Convent of the Capuchins as the first event of the literary festival organized by the Sound Music Art Association and now in its second edition.
The event, which enjoys the patronage of the municipal administration led by Mayor Graziano Milia, is included in the intense calendar of events for the month of December to liven up the pre-Christmas period.
The musical commentary will be entrusted to the internationally renowned guitarist from Quartu Simone Onnis , fresh from an important tour in Spain and the Peninsula during which he paid homage to the famous composer Joaquin Rodrigo, who will perform pieces from the baroque and classical repertoire with much-loved authors such as Johann Sebastian Bach, Domenico Scarlatti, Mauro Giuliani and Fernando Sor.
The meeting focuses on the transposition of the Kaizen method from a method for improvement in industry to a method for improvement in learning and teaching.
The original meaning of the Japanese word "Kaizen" from the Shogakukan Dictionary could be literally translated as "The act of improving negative points".
The most popular translation is "change for the better", also to improve.
Admission to the event is free and open to the public.
