The 26th Riviera del Corallo is underway: the international Judo show in Alghero.

On 29 and 30 December, "The Riviera del Corallo Trophy" will take place, an international men's judo team competition, organized by the Martial Arts Sardinia sports club, chaired by maestro Gavino Piredda, with the contribution of the Sardinia Region Tourism and Sport Departments. One of the most important events in Italy for Judo, with a festival of top-level champions.

Five of the strongest European nations will participate in the competition: Italy, Moldova, Romania, Hungary and Portugal. The representatives of Sardinia and Sicily will also be added to these teams. Italy will try to play a leading role, as has already happened in previous editions, and will bring a very competitive junior team onto the Alghero tatami, accompanied by the blue coach Salvatore Ferro.

The Moldovan delegation will also be super fierce, bringing to Sardinia some great international champions such as Victor Sterpu, European U23 champion in 2020 in Porec, Adil Osmanov, gold medal at the 2021 Champions Cup in Dubrovnik, Alin Bagrin, bronze at the Junior European Championships in Prague 2022 and Catalin Marian, bronze at the Junior European Cups in Cluj Napoca in 2019. The other delegations will not be outdone either: each one will bring its best athletes to try to win the twenty-sixth edition of this coveted competition.

The event will take place in the Judo Club Alghero gym, in via Fratelli Kennedy 150 and will include weigh-in operations and draws on Saturday 29th, while the actual competition will begin at 10am on Sunday 30th. A great show is therefore expected, a tournament full of champions which worthily closes a very important season for international Judo. It will be possible to attend all the meetings for free: from 10am on Sunday 30th December, free entry to the gym for all enthusiasts.
