Ten million euros - 5 for each of the years 2023 and 2024 - is the allocation of the Regional Council of Sardinia in favor of the industrial Consortia for the construction of infrastructures in the areas of their pertinence.
«In recent years – explains Industry councilor Anita Pili – the provincial industrial consortia have repeatedly formulated requests for funding for the infrastructure of their industrial areas. Already during 2020 , with a view to improving the quality and overall competitiveness of the system of companies operating within the industrial agglomerations, to allow the Consortia to submit grant applications, the Department has prepared a tender which has received great interest , given the participation in the financing procedure of six Provincial Industrial Consortia out of the eight present in Sardinia, with the consequent total allocation of the financial resources made available».
Despite this, "the managers of the industrial areas - continues Pili - continue to show the need to provide for a further strengthening of the potential and the redevelopment of the industrial and production areas with the construction of new infrastructures and services or through the adaptation of the existing infrastructures ».
In the second half of 2022, the Department thus launched a survey to define the interventions considered priorities by the eight Consortia and the related financial needs.
«To guarantee environmental sustainability, maintain and strengthen the bonds of social cohesion within the territory - concluded Pili - it is necessary to accompany the Consortia in the delicate activity of subjects in charge of managing the Zes , the recently established special economic zone in Sardinia, which sees the provincial industrial consortia at the forefront».
