A theatrical show that tells the story of the Moby Prince on the 34th anniversary of the tragedy that occurred on April 10, 1991. By Francesco Gerardi and Marta Pettinari, directed by Federico Orsetti, it will be on stage today at 8:30 pm at the Teatro Carmen Melis, the reduced hall of the Cagliari opera house (Tuesday, April 15 at 8:30 am in repeat for schools). On stage Lorenzo Satta and Alessio Zirulia.

On April 10, 1991, the Navarma ferry and the Agip Abruzzo oil tanker collided in the harbor in front of the port of Livorno. Today, two young actors who were not yet born at the time of the events join forces on stage in the theatrical performance that tells the story of the accident from the point of view of those who were on board the Moby Prince . To do so, it uses the interaction - visual and narrative - between the two dramaturgical components of the staging "in which images and words lead the spectator into the enormous black hole that envelops every aspect of the story" , explains a note.

MT Moby Prince 3.0 - a new staging of a previous production that debuted at the Teatro Goldoni in Livorno on 28 October 2006 - is characterised by a radically revised text , two new performers and an image that is highly distinctive in contemporary times and distances itself from that traditionally associated with narrative theatre, even though it is part of it.

The show, co-produced by Teatro Nazionale di Genova, benefits from the collaboration of the two family associations of the victims and tells the story from the evening of the accident to the recent parliamentary commissions of inquiry.
