What was life like in Neolithic times in domestic environments? What was done around the fire? What and how did you eat? This is revealed by a singular reconstruction, decidedly faithful to the reality of those very ancient times, carried out in Medau Sa Grutta, Cannas di Sotto archaeological park, within the urban perimeter of the city: it is the re-proposition of a Neolithic hut , a cross-section allows visitors to experience "immersed" in the daily life of that period and relive the activities practiced by the communities of the time.

The setting is the natural connection with the archaeological area , i.e. the domus de janas necropolis dating back to the Neolithic period (about 3,700 BC).

The project was recently concluded: the study, planning and construction work, thanks to the operators of the Carbonia Museum System (SiMuC), required a preliminary bibliographic research, with the supervision of the SiMuC management, necessary for a scientifically reliable reconstruction . and manual work for the construction of the wooden structure, mud plastering, hearth and furnishings.

The setting of the hut very often hosts local schools , also thanks to the Tessere di Storia initiative which aims to enhance this archaeological area that is little known even by the citizens of Carbonia themselves.
