MusMat reopens its doors to emerging talents with two concerts. Brass and piano will be the protagonists of the evenings of the International Festival Contrasti 2025 – Spring edition, scheduled for July 12 and 13 in the former slaughterhouse of Olbia.

It starts on Saturday, at 7:30 pm, with the duo formed by maestro Elisa Palermi on the tuba and Valeria Picardi on the piano, for a delicate and original ensemble that combines unusual instruments for a repertoire rich in emotions and nuances, offering an engaging experience of great artistic level. In the concert on Sunday (7:30 pm) instead, space is given to the duo formed by Marco Boccucci on the trombone and Valeria Picardi also on the piano , a couple that combines the expressive power of the wind instrument with the refinement of the piano, creating an intense and surprising musical dialogue.

"Both events represent an important opportunity to listen to special ensembles," explains artistic director Laura Cocco. "Young artists who have already distinguished themselves for their talent and competence perform, and who continue to grow and surprise in the national music scene." The two evenings are part of the circuit of events dedicated to the promotion of young talents and the valorization of innovative ensembles. Admission is free .

The event is organized by the cultural association Contrapunctum ETS in collaboration with the Civic Music School of Olbia, the State Music Conservatory “GB Pergolesi” of Fermo, the Ars Aurelia association of Sassari, the voluntary cultural association San Domenico Caniga and the contribution of the Fondazione di Sardegna.
