The first Sardinia Nautical Fair is scheduled from 22 to 26 April. The appointment is at the Marina di Olbia tourist port for the event promoted by Cipnes Gallura, with the support of the regional councilorship for tourism, crafts and commerce, and which is part of the Insula Sardinia Quality World program and, specifically, of the action "Sardinia Discovery Journey".

The presentation was held today at the headquarters of the Industrial Consortium with indications on the objectives: to promote the territory and its tourist and nautical resources.

Olbia was not chosen by chance. The coasts of Gallura are home to almost half of the berths in Sardinia: 9,000, equal to 45.4% of the total, according to data from the Ministry of Infrastructures and Harbor Offices, including 66% of the berths for maxi and giga yachts of the whole Island. In addition, 62 nautical and shipbuilding companies are active in Olbia, equal to 11% of all the companies in the district, and employ 374 employees.

"The Sardinia Nautical Fair can be one of the first moments of return to normality and restart for all companies in the nautical sector and beyond", said the president of Cipnes Gallura, Gianni Sarti, at the presentation of the first edition of the event. .

"There is a need to give visibility to the nautical sector - added Angelo Colombo, manager of the Fair organization -, which has the potential to be developed, and to the entire productive fabric of Sardinia." From the first numbers, not yet definitive, there will be 80 units at sea, 75 ground stands of companies in the sector and the main national shipyards, plus the spaces of the Insula project, with local crafts and food and wine products.
