Excellent news on the tourism front. Even in 2023, in fact, Italy is ready to confirm itself as one of the most popular destinations in Europe, both by "internal" vacationers (Italians who choose to stay at home for the holidays) and by those coming from abroad. And the good wishes for the next summer season also concern Sardinia.

According to the forecasts of the Demoskopika Institute , there will be over 442 million presences in the tourist resorts of the Belpaese with a growth of 12.2% compared to 2022. This is - underlines the institute - the highest value ever .

The increase in tourists will characterize all regions. Sardinia , in particular, according to forecasts, will record 14.2 million presences (+11.9%), while arrivals (i.e. the number of customers hosted in accommodation facilities) will be 3 million (+10.2%) .

The regions that will record the greatest "boom" will be, underlines Demoskopika, Trentino Alto Adige with 52.6 million presences (+15.4%) and with 12.1 million arrivals (+11.8%), Veneto with 73.3 million presences (+14.8%) and with 19.1 million arrivals (+11.0%), Marche with 13 million presences (+13.4%) and 2.7 million arrivals (+13.8%), Molise with 584 thousand presences (+13.4%) and with 182 thousand arrivals (+14.3%) and Tuscany with 49.8 million presences (+13.4%) and with 14 million arrivals (+13.5%).

Again based on estimates, the total tourist expenditure at national level will be almost 89 billion euros, with an estimated growth of 22.8% compared to 2022.
