The Council of Ministers has decided to challenge two laws of the Sardinia Region .

This is - explains a press release issued by Palazzo Chigi - of the Sardinian regional law n. 6 of 11/04/2022 for the "Support and promotion of the cultivation and supply chain of industrial hemp ", as some provisions "exceed the powers attributed to the Region of Sardinia by the Statute of autonomy in matters of public order and safety and protection of health, violating article 117 of the Constitution, as well as article 81 regarding financial coverage ".

And of the law of the Region of Sardinia n. 9 of 11/04/2022 concerning "Various interventions in the field of local authorities in Sardinia . Amendments to regional law no. 4 of 2012 and regional law no. 3 of 2009", as certain provisions, "contrasting with the state legislation on civil law and the law of local authorities exceeds the competences attributed to the Sardinia Region by the Statute of autonomy, violating articles 3, 51, 97 and 117 of the Constitution, as well as the general principles of the legal system of Republic".
