Verona has formalized the appointment of the Cagliari sports manager and is completing the Cholito operation

Francesco Marroccu is the new ds of Verona .
The announcement was made by the Scala club, in a note which reads: “Hellas Verona Fc announces that it has entrusted the role of sporting director to Francesco Marroccu.
Marroccu, born in Cagliari on August 8, 1966 , began his career as a sports manager in Serie A with the Sardinian club in 2005 : he worked first as secretary and then as general manager of the rossoblù club, before becoming its ds in 2014. Over the seasons later, he was director of Italian and foreign companies: Beira Mar (Portugal), Ascoli, Leeds (England), Sagan Tosu (Japan), Feralpisalò, Brescia and Genoa. The club extends a warm welcome to Francesco Marroccu and wishes him good work at the head of the sports area of the Gialloblù Club ".
With Verona Cagliari Calcio is now defining the destiny of Giovanni Simeone : the Scala are ready to redeem him, after the excellent season (with 17 goals scored ) played. But the Venetian company would have asked for a "discount" on the 12 million agreed. It is certain that the future of Cholito will be far from Sardinia .
