Greco's return: "The goal is to save Torres"
After Sottili's sacking, the club is banking on the manager who won the Serie D playoffs to try and avoid the playouts
Almost three months after his dismissal (on 27 December) the Sassari team embraces the coach who won the Serie D promotion playoffs and who had started the Serie C championship. Alfonso Greco's first training session will be tomorrow because the club had already decided to give two days of rest to a physically and mentally tested group.
With five games to go and with only one point clear, it's no easy task to avoid the playouts. The last five games under the guidance of Sottili have brought only one point and have been marked by many absences (at least six per game) due to injuries, ailments and even flu viruses.
Coach Alfonso Greco will try to convey serenity and balance, as in his nature. «I'm not looking for revenge or anything else, I just think about the single goal which is to save the team. And we will have to do it by uniting ourselves all » .
