Simone Inzaghi, Inter coach, is the winner of the Panchina d'oro as best coach for the 2023-2024 season. Last season, the Nerazzurri won the twentieth title in their history. The 51 Serie A colleagues who gathered today at Coverciano for the annual refresher course voted: 26 votes were given to the Inter coach, followed by Gian Piero Gasperini of Atalanta (14 votes) and Vincenzo Italiano now at Bologna and last season at Fiorentina (4).

The award has reached its thirty-third edition . Acting as a teacher to colleagues was Real Madrid coach and Champions League holder Carlo Ancelotti, who was also awarded the “Special Golden Bench”. The same award went to Gasperini, who arrived at Coverciano in the early afternoon, for the Europa League victory with Atalanta.

Fabio Pecchia was awarded the Panchina d'argento (Serie B) for the promotion obtained last season at the helm of Parma.
