The holidays are approaching and, punctually, the prices of flights to Sardinia are taking off.

Assoutenti, which monitors price trends, today simulated the purchase of an economy class ticket to fly during the holidays, with departure on Saturday 21 December and return on 6 January .

To fly to Cagliari (round trip) you need a minimum of 251 euros from Turin, 228 from Venice, 215 from Pisa . It goes down to only 147 euros for a round trip flight Milan-Cagliari, but you have to choose the most inconvenient times, at 6 in the morning. Otherwise the prices increase, and you can even get to 1,228 euros depending on the flight chosen .

The prices of domestic flights to Italy are especially increasing, those used by out-of-town students and workers who want to return to their country of origin. Small consolation for the Island, returning to Sicily costs more .

You need at least 623 euros to go from Genoa to Catania, 445 euros to fly from Trieste to Catania, 412 euros from Florence to Catania, 402 euros from Bologna to Palermo . If you leave from Milan you need at least 421 euros to go to Crotone (always return), 395 euros for Catania, with the ticket that in this case can reach 889 euros depending on the company, the stopover and the departure time, 363 euros for Rome, 330 for Palermo.

The prices, Assoutenti points out, "do not take into account additional costs for hand luggage or the choice of seat" . "Travelling in Italy during the holidays continues to be a drain on citizens' pockets. Despite the warnings repeatedly raised by consumers and the proclamations of politicians, the high-cost flight emergency is a phenomenon that occurs every year and that, unfortunately, seems to have no solution ", explains the association's president Fabio Truzzi.
