Forty years after its first release, the synergy between Warner Music and Vanity Fair has led to the production of a new version of “Mediterranea,” a song by Giuni Russo co-written with Maria Antonietta Sisini, in a remix by Friulian DJ and producer Mattia Del Moro, aka Dumar.

The project involved the two choirs directed by Maestro Vincenzo Cossu: the Nova Euphonia Vocal Ensemble and the City of Sassari Student Choir . On August 4th, they recorded a video version of "Mediterranea" in Alghero, which was published a few days later on Giuni Russo's official YouTube channel. The preview reel has surpassed 250,000 views on the social media pages of the artist, who passed away 21 years ago, while the full video has already garnered approximately 30,000 views on YouTube.

The video was recorded at the Mirador Giuni Russo in Alghero by the Sardinian Life and ISO Image team . The choirs were accompanied by Carlo Morittu (piano), Gabriele Griva (guitar), and Gabriele Serra (electric bass). Sound and mixing were handled by Marco Pinna; direction, editing, and video production were by Cesare Donati.
