When the underground truly connects, there's a stage everywhere: and that's what happened to veterans of Sardinian hardcore A Fora De Arrastu and Mr. Murrungio , who despite canceling their show at Ubisti in Nuoro, were still able to find a spot thanks to Bodie Art in Cagliari . In a last-minute concert, marking the return of the two historic bands to the stage, the date is Saturday at 8 p.m. at Via San Giovanni 254.
Mr. Murrungio was born in the capital in December 2002, among the spokesmen of a generation on whose shoulders fell the arduous task of ferrying Italian hardcore into the new millennium. A mission that the band has carried out thanks also to connections with other groups in Sardinia and the mainland , as demonstrated by the countless splits – albums divided in half, between two or more groups – among which there is also the most recent album, " Infamidade e tirannia " (2013), in collaboration with the Nuoro band FCT . Their self-titled debut , with a rough and aggressive sound, dates back to 2011.
The following year, in August 2003, AFDA (or A Fora de Arrastu) was formed, a quintet that also released numerous splits, as well as singles and demos. With a style that was equally scathing and distorted, but more melodic, the group has always remained faithful to the Campidano dialect in their lyrics, which are highly militant and polemical, as the genre demands. After returning in 2019 for a collaborative effort with Affluente , the following year they released the single " Disigiu de furriai su mundu a fundu susu ," fully imbued with all the artistic cornerstones the band has established over the years.
