The Marteddu Group has celebrated forty years of business, a milestone that celebrates a history of hard work, family, and entrepreneurial vision. To mark this anniversary, a month ago, the new headquarters in Domusnovas was inaugurated, a symbol of continuity and renewal for a company that continues to build value in the local area. Arianna Marteddu, a graduate in Economics and Business, and the Group's General Manager , recounts this story of passion, sacrifice, and vision.

  • Doctor Marteddu, how was the Marteddu Group born?

Our story began 40 years ago, from water and land. My father, Ignazio, a surveyor, founded Edil.Sar. with the strength of his hands and clear ideas. A journey of dedication, hard work, and passion, which over time has become our life. It all began with the desire to build something tangible, to enhance the local area, and to create a future for our family. From that intuition came years of sacrifice and difficult choices, always guided by a single conviction: belief in hard work, dedication, and people.

  • Looking back on these 40 years, what are the moments that have made you most proud?

Every milestone tells a story, but I believe our greatest pride lies in the people who have walked with us. Every employee, every family who believed in our project is part of this journey. We have evolved together, generation after generation, learning to build not just infrastructure but trust, connections, and opportunities. Today, the group is solid because it is made up of genuine, motivated, competent, and passionate people. Their energy is our true success.

  • Which companies does the Group consist of and what do they do?

The Marteddu Group is made up of three entities: Edil.Sar. , the historic company operating in the infrastructure and water network sector; Sardegna Piscine , founded in 2004 and led by my brother Matteo, which builds swimming pools and spaces dedicated to wellness and family life; and M Group , founded in 2021 and led by my brother Andrea, which looks to the future with innovative projects in the field of fiber optics and connectivity networks. Three different souls united by the same vision: building value while remaining true to our roots.

  • The event on September 19th inaugurated the new headquarters: what does this moment mean to you?

It was a day we will never forget. At Domusnovas, in front of five hundred people including institutions, collaborators, friends, and family, we celebrated forty years of history and inaugurated our new home. Because that's what I like to call it: a house built with responsibility, awareness, and determination. It symbolizes generational transition, but also a continuity that looks forward. We chose to stay in this area, to invest here, where it all began, to provide a future and stability to those who believe in us.

  • How do you see the future of the Marteddu Group in the coming years and what goals do you have?

The future belongs to those who choose to create it. We will continue to grow through innovation, but without forgetting the values that have brought us this far. Today, we are 85 people united by a common vision, and we want our company to remain a point of reference for the local community. Every choice is a commitment: choosing to work with passion, to build with ethics, to believe in continuity. This is how we give value, responsibility, and a future to businesses and people.

  • What message would you like to leave to those who look at your entrepreneurial example?

I don't like to hope, I like to believe. I've always believed in what I've done, even when it seemed impossible. Believe in your dreams, no matter your age or situation. It doesn't matter what role you hold or what job you do: believe in what you can build and don't let anyone take it away from you. Every sacrifice leaves a mark, every step can change a life. The future isn't something you wait for: it's built, every day, with courage, passion, and faith in your choices.
