Next to the world champion in the front row is the Ferrari of Charles Leclerc (228 thousandths of a second behind), behind them the Mercedes of George Russel and the other Red, that of Carlos Sainz.
Fifth position for the second Red Bull driven by Sergio Perez, then Fernando Alonso's Aston Martin. In the fourth row the McLarens of Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri, ninth was Lewis Hamilton in difficulty with his Mercedes, tenth place for Nico Hulkenberg's Haas.
«We have taken a step forward but we have to wait for the race to understand how big this step is. However, we are convinced that Red Bull is still ahead", commented Leclerc.
