Four million are coming for immediate support to pig farms burdened by the increase in the cost of energy and feed and by the persistence of the block on exports outside the region. An amendment from the Executive Board passed, wanted by President Christian Solinas, who had publicly undertaken the commitment for an immediate intervention, to be added to those already planned in the Budget and by others that will follow with Omnibus 2.

"A commitment that it was absolutely urgent to maintain - underlines Solinas - and which wants to demonstrate once again how much the problems of agricultural and livestock companies are at the heart of this regional government, which sees in this sector an engine of vital importance for the Sardinian economy. . This morning I wanted to be at the side of rural workers who heroically, with so many sacrifices, have kept their companies alive and continue the production tradition that is fundamental for our economy and our culture ".

"The indiscriminate increase in the prices of energy and raw materials seriously damages our companies, together with which, - says Solinas - we claim from the State and above all from Europe, which was created to temper these market turbulence, a commitment to calm down prices and to set a ceiling that continues to keep production profitable. This is what today the beautiful manifestation of farmers and breeders who have expressed the will to collaborate with the institutions not only with the right protest, but also with the proposal constructive, despite the incorrect and misleading information disseminated by certain political circles which are obviously interested more in feeding than in solving the real problems of the productive world ".
