Fifa has defined the list of referees who will direct the matches of the final phase of the Women's World Cup scheduled from July 20 to August 20 on the fields of Australia and New Zealand.

Italy will be represented by Maria Sole Ferrieri Caputi from Livorno, as referee, while Francesca Di Monte from the Chieti section will be one of the assistants; Massimiliano Irrati of Pistoia will stay at the Var.

Among the prominent whistlers is the French Stephanie Frappart, who at the Men's World Cup in Qatar, on December 1st last year, refereed (the first time for a woman) the match between Costa Rica and Germany, valid for one of the elimination rounds.

Among the referees already present at the Men's World Cup, the Rwandan Salima Mukansanga and the Japanese Yoshimi Yamashita will also be present at the women's tournament. In Qatar there were also the assistants Neuza Back (Brazil), Karen Díaz Medina (Mexico) and Kathryn Nesbitt (USA), also confirmed for the Women's World Cup.
