Ferrari unveils the new single-seater for the 2022 World Championship, Binotto: "A brave car"
F1-75 the name, which celebrates 75 years of the "most glorious and winning team ever"
The F1-75, the new single-seater with which Ferrari will race in the Formula 1 World Championship, was unveiled this morning in Maranello with a live stream.
Red livery as per tradition, it is hoped that the car will bring a victory that is missing from the 2019 Singapore Grand Prix.
Presented by the sporting director, Mattia Binotto, flanked by Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz, the Rossa was renamed F1-75. "I am excited - the words of Binotto -, the car is the synthesis of the work of a good group of which I am proud. It celebrates 75 years of the first car bearing the name of the founder of the most glorious and winning team ever".
"The work that has been done with the F1-75 is incredible: it is a car in which we have put the best of us. I am proud of the work we have done, all our passion, our know-how is in it. It is a Ferrari that I define as courageous ", added the sporting director.
Recognizing that the team comes from results "below expectations" and that expectations "are high", he claims a path started in 2019 that "has made us a stronger, more united team, now we want to fight on the track in every race".
During the presentation the president John Elkann also spoke: “Ferrari - he said - is the only team present in all the championships played in Formula 1. The F1-75 represents the best of the team's innovation in view of the new season. . We will carry the performance of our machine with the 75 years logo and therefore we have a lot of responsibility on our shoulders. Now everything is in the hands of Binotto, Sainz and Leclerc, as well as of the whole team ”.
