Fred Vasseur will be   at the helm of Scuderia Ferrari since 9 January 2023.

The announcement comes from the Maranello company: the Frenchman will be the new Team Principal and General Manager. It boasts over 25 years of success not only in motor racing, starting with junior formulas and Formula 1, but also in promoting talented drivers, conquering the GP2 series both in 2005 (Nico Rosberg) and 2006 (Lewis Hamilton).

«I am very happy and honored – says Vasseur – to take over the leadership of Scuderia Ferrari as Team Principal. For me, a lifelong motorsport enthusiast, Ferrari has always represented the pinnacle of the racing world. I look forward to working with the team to deliver results for our fans around the world."

The manager has held the position of CEO and team principal of Sauber Motorsport since 2017, while since 2016 he has been head of the Renault F1 Team.
