The resignation of Mattia Binotto as head of the Ferrari team is official .

After the first rumors close to the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, the last of the 2022 season, of a change at the helm of the Maranello team, the confirmation of the step back of the Prancing Horse team principal after his fourth season arrives with a note driving the Red .

«With the regret that this entails, I have decided to conclude my collaboration with Ferrari - he announced - I am leaving a company that I love, of which I have been part for 28 years , with the serenity that comes from the conviction that I have made every effort to achieve the set goals. I leave a united and growing team . A strong team, ready, I'm sure, to achieve the highest goals, to which I wish all the best for the future. I think it is right to take this step, although it was a difficult decision for me. I thank all the people of the Gestione Sportiva who have shared this journey with me, made up of difficulties but also of great satisfactions ».
After a championship that started very well for Ferrari which was once again successful and competitive, the warm season gradually ended too soon with the triumph of Red Bull and Max Verstappen due to a series of factors, from the many mistakes in the garage to the loss of performance from the car.

In place of Binotto , the Frenchman Frédéric Vasseur should arrive from the "cousins" of Alfa Romeo-Sauber, considered very close to Charles Leclerc. Also in pole position is the CEO of Maranello Benedetto Vigna in the role of head of Sport Management "pro tempore".
