Famous throughout the world for having had VIPs, kings and queens among his clients, the news of Mario Talarico's death leaves great pain not only in his city, Naples, but also in the many people who knew him and who still they have one of his artifacts in their homes.

Talarico, 92 years old, was the king of umbrellas, with a shop near Via Toledo. A small shop but full of great skill, where he worked together with a nephew, who bears the same name as him.

From the master's passion, umbrellas were born that were part of the supplies of the British royal house, and Eduardo De Filippo had ordered the umbrella to be used in the Cupiello house from him. Among the customers were many actors, who also purchased sticks, and together with the craftsman they then took a souvenir photo, the ones that today cover the walls of the historic shop.

«Unfortunately Uncle Mario flew into the sky this morning. Hi Uncle Mario, I promise you that I will not disappoint you and that you will be proud of me as I am of you – the nephew wrote on Facebook - You have taught me a lot and I will always be grateful and grateful to you. You were a second father to me."
