The world of Italian cinema and entertainment mourns Lando Buzzanca.

The actor died in Rome at the age of 87 . He had been hospitalized at the Gemelli Polyclinic for a few days.

Born in Palermo in 1935, born Gerlando Buzzanca, his name is linked to some of the most famous comedies of the seventies and eighties, such as "The male blackbird" by Pasquale Festa Campanile which gave him notoriety.

In his career he also played dramatic roles and often acted alongside famous actresses, such as Claudia Cardinale, Catherine Spaak and Joan Collins.

There are also numerous roles in films and fiction and, in recent years, the hosting and participation in successful TV programs, such as "Dancing with the Stars", which saw him as the protagonist in 2016.
