The world of sports journalism is in mourning: Franco Zuccalà, for years the face of Rai and one of the best-known correspondents for programs such as "Domenica Sportiva" and "90esimo Minuto", has died at the age of 83.

Born in Catania in 1940, he left Sicily as a young man and, as well as a journalist, he was also a writer.

The sad news was given by the president of Ussi Sicilia Gaetano Rizzo: «A friend passes away, even before a teacher», said Rizzo, addressing condolences to the family.
