Emiliano “Ciccio” Mascetti, the unforgettable face of Hellas Verona, died at the age of 79.

He was born in Como and for 11 seasons he played with the yellow and blue, two instead those with Turin.

In Serie A he scored 35 goals, a record that was surpassed in 2015 by Luca Toni.

He had started playing in his hometown before moving to Pisa and in 1967 to Verona.

When he left the shoes of the footballer, he became sporting director and saw many champions on the field such as Preben Elkjaer and Hans-Peter Briegel.

Hellas Verona greeted him with a message on social media: "Hello 'Ciccio', forever yellow and blue legend".
