The 23rd edition of the Maria Carta Award features a prestigious trio of singer-songwriters, who will receive the coveted award dedicated to the artist from Siligo: Eugenio Bennato , Salmo , and Sandra Ligas . The event is scheduled for Sunday at 5:30 pm. The event, organized by the Maria Carta Foundation, will be broadcast live on Videolina and Radiolina.
The Shardana Sardinian Club of Warsaw will also be awarded for the section dedicated to the world of emigration, and the Sella & Mosca company of Alghero will be awarded for Sardinia's excellence in the economic and entrepreneurial fields.
The evening will feature numerous guests: the children's folk group from the Academy of Popular Traditions "Città di Tempio" will open the event; followed by the tenor "Remunnu e' Locu" from Bitti, Beppe Dettori with Raoul Moretti; Alghero singer-songwriter Davide Casu; and the Fantafolk duo, Vanni Masala and Andrea Pisu, who will accompany award-winning Sandra Ligas in her performance. A tribute to Sardinia will be paid by Polish singer Martyna Kasprzyk-Peralta, who will perform alongside guitarist Gavino Loche. The Siligo folk group "Santa Maria de Bubalis" will close the event. Ottavio Nieddu and journalist Maria Grazia Ledda will host the event.
The event was presented this morning at the Chamber of Commerce (the event is part of the Salude & Trigu program), which is collaborating on its organization with the Siligo municipal administration, with the support of the Sardinia Region and the Fondazione di Sardegna.
