Ducati flies on the Le Mans circuit: pole for Bagnaia ahead of Miller

Ducati dominates in qualifying for the French MotoGP Grand Prix.
On the Le Mans circuit, Francesco Bagnaia took pole position as he did last Saturday in Jerez, setting the track record in 1'30''450 as well.
"Pecco" was ahead of Jack Miller's other Ducati by 69 thousandths, Aleix Espargaro on Aprilia completes the front row.
Fourth was the leader of the rider classification Fabio Quartararo on Yamaha, preceding the Ducati of Enea Bastianini and Johann Zarco. Seventh and eighth place for Joan Mir and Alex Rins' Suzuki, Marc Marquez tenth.
MotoGP has meanwhile announced that Valentino Rossi 's number 46 will be withdrawn forever from the World Championship in a ceremony that will take place at the Mugello circuit on the occasion of the Italian Grand Prix, Saturday 28 May just before qualifying.
Rossi, it is recalled, raced with number 46 in 26 successful seasons "creating one of the most recognized business cards in global sport". Rossi has won nine world championships , scoring 115 wins and 235 podiums in all classes.
