Melodies that echo the mysteries of our island with a refined sound and imbued with that symbolism that tells the archaic culture of the Nuragic age.
Here is “Fizzos Dinnos” (worthy children), a single in limba that led the Dorgali band “Deamistade” to triumph in the “Promote your music” competition promoted by Fanya di Croce which took place in Genoa in recent days.
Success that launches the Sardinian band to conquer European radios. Giampaolo Chisu (vocals / backing vocals / author / producer), Fabio Murtas (bass), Simone Murtas (guitar), Diego Sanna (keyboards / backing vocals) , Emanuele Ceravola (drums / percussion) and Maillard Marino (arrangements / production) have obtained the right to participate in the radio program "Supermarket Show" hosted by Daniele dal Muto who collaborates with 90 Italian and international broadcasters, thus allowing the Dorgali group to reach a very large audience of listeners.
"Our group was born by chance at a party 13 years ago," says Giampaolo Chisu, "a small experiment that, united by an innate passion for music in all of us, sparked the desire to start a common project that still today continues with enthusiasm."
Deamistade (goddess of friendship) after all these years has produced a rich repertoire that is liked and receives great acclaim. « We have toured far and wide our Sardinia performing in many squares and clubs», continues the co-founder of the band from Dorgali, «proposing our unreleased songs and the great national and international pop-rock covers without neglecting those in the Sardinian language that identify us».
Among the many recordings there is the first self-produced work in 2012 entitled “Respiro” , then in 2018 the first official release published in collaboration with Andrea Tognassi's TRB, entitled “Cieli di Fuoco” with eleven songs of which two in double version in Limba and Italian. Now the single “Fizzos Dinnos” that has bewitched the jury of the contest “promote your music” which is turning into a real springboard.
"Traveling to make our incisives heard is our dream", continues Gianpaolo Chisu, "and this piece that I wrote and that was set to music by Maillard Marino represents the spirit that inspires our way of understanding music. Projections of our life experiences and the context in which we live. Desire to tell the sensations, the search for our origins that bind us to our beloved land".
And the journey apparently is still long. The band from Dorgali is in fact working on many other songs that will be published in the coming months.
