Power, poetry, emotion, the drama of war and much more: this is what the show “Dear son, caro figlio” promises, scheduled for Saturday at the Verdi theater in Sassari at 8:30 p.m. for the closing of the “Corpi in movimento” festival organized by the Danzaeventi association. It is a regional premiere for the work of Daniele Cipriani Entertainment brought to the stage by the duo Riva&Repele with the extraordinary participation of the dancer Parvaneh Scharafali .
The show tells in 50 minutes a story of separation, hope and memory that transcends the barriers of time and space: that of a family made up of a mother and father and a son forced to leave for war, offering a reflection on the past, the present and the future that suffering pushes to mix and confuse in memories.
Riva&Repele is an artistic partnership founded in 2020 in Geneva by the Italian Simone Repele and the American Sasha Riva , defined by critics as the " poets of dance " for their ability to thrill by painting moving images with powerful gestures and a stylistic vocabulary that masterfully ranges from neoclassical to contemporary.
In “ Dear Son ” the happy collaboration with Parvaneh Scharafali blossomed, an extraordinarily talented dancer born in Tehran and raised in Frankfurt, who has already performed in almost all the major theatres in the world, including the Opéra Garnier in Paris, the Mariinsky in St. Petersburg, the Bolshoi in Moscow, the Lincoln Center, the BAM and the Shed in New York, the OperaHouse in Sydney, La Fenice in Venice.
