Backing singers for Pink Floyd vocalist David Gilmour make their overseas debut. MGW Quartet choose Olbia for their first concert outside the UK.

As part of the nineteenth edition of Culturefestival, a traveling cultural, artistic, and musical event founded in 2008 that has brought international music legends to the stages of Sardinia, the band composed of Romany Gilmour, daughter of a famous musician, sisters Hattie and Charley Webb, and Louise Marshall will take to the stage of the new event space, set up on the Brin pier, with a ninety-minute show, including covers and original songs, written by an eight-handed ensemble, which combines voice, piano, guitar, percussion, and harp.

In addition to accompanying David Gilmour, the British artists explain, "we're pursuing a parallel project, started a year ago, that allows us to express our musical talents." The Olbia leg of Culturefestival, directed by Simone Pittau, who introduced the event this afternoon at the Town Hall, concludes with a performance by the Francesco Piu Band, playing a blues repertoire.
